Laboratory technician for the “Immunobiology” group, supervised by Dr. David Sancho
The Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) CNIC has been conceived to develop research of excellence, competitive and of international relevance in relation to cardiovascular diseases. The CNIC has a research centre of 24,000 m2, located in Madrid, with more than 6,000 m2 for laboratories equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment.
This contract will be funded by the project “Connecting myeloid cell metabolism and function, acronym: MYMETFUN”, ref: PID2022‐137712OB‐I0, granted to Dr. David Sancho in the call “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2022. Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades” funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by FEDER, UE.
Functions:
The selected candidate will support the research needs of the group, focused on the project “Connecting myeloid cell metabolism and function, acronym: MYMETFUN”, ref: PID2022‐137712OB‐I0, granted to Dr. David Sancho in the call “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2022. Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades” carried out in the Inmunobiology Lab.
This support includes the folllowing functions:
- Cell culture
- Research with mouse models
- Sample analysis by Flow Cytometry
- Antigen presentation assay with dendritic cells
- Metabolism assays with dendritic cells
- In vivo tumoral experimental models
Mandatory Requirements
- Title of “Formación Profesional Grado Superior” or Title of “Formación Profesional Grado Medio “, with at least 5 years of experience in the required techniques or “Bachiller Superior” with at least 2 years of experience in the required techniques in Biomedical Science.
- Certification to work with experimental models: Functions A, B and C (Orden ECC/566/2015).
- English level TOEFL 90, equivalent to B2, equivalent to IELTS 6.5, equivalent to CAE, equivalent to Trinity Grades 10,11.
- Research stays in foreign research centers for at least 3 months.
Valuable Requirements:
C1. Candidates with a university degree in Molecular Biomedicine will be valued.
C2. Experience in tumoral experimental models.
C3. Experience in research in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology Knowledge in molecular biology.
C4. Experience in work with dendritic cells.
C5. Experience in immunometabolism studies.
C6. Interview.
Positive action: a correction index of 1.5 is established for each year of experience in the evaluation of the number of years in those criteria where experience is evaluated, in the event that the disable person greater than 66% and 1.2 in the event that the disable person greater than 33%.

Recruiment Plan:
The RESOLUTION OF THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR PUBLIC FUNCTION APPROVING THE COMMON ACTION CRITERIA FOR THE RECRUITMENT PROCESSES IN THE STATE PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES of April 11, 2022, sets forth in point 6.1 that “Unless a specific regulation establishes a merit-bases recruitment system (“concurso”), the competition (“concurso-oposición”) must be the recruitment system”.
In CNIC, the specific regulations approved by the Foundation's board of trustees establish a merit-based recruitment system (“concurso”) including a personal interview.
At least the 3 candidates with the highest score (as long as they reach the minimum of 70 points as a sum of criteria C1‐C5) will be interviewed. The candidate with the highest score will be hired given the total score (C1-C6) is 85 points or higher.
