CNIC’s golden aim is to identify and prevent Cardiovascular disease (CVD) before individual’s health is impaired.

To predict who is at high risk of CVD, understand the early steps of the disease and design new preventive strategies, CNIC has built 3 essential capabilities at distributed in 5500 m2 state-of-the-art facilities:

• New generation imaging to detect early CVD
• A long-term study on a large human population at risk, to trace CVD before symptoms appear
• Preclinical research models to test the findings
