The Advanced Imaging Unit (AIU) offers a portfolio of cutting-edge pre-clinical imaging services for small animals (ultrasound, magnetic resonance, PET/CT, optical imaging). It provides support to the centre's research groups for the assessment of various animal models. Since June 2018, the Unit holds the ISO 9001:2015 quality certificate.

Its multidisciplinary nature enables to approach problems from different points of view, which facilitates the rapid translation of the research results generated into clinical practice and industry.

The main purpose of the AIU is to provide researchers with access to biomedical imaging which can provide essential information to understand biological processes in vivo.
